The ideal candidate will lead development for back-end middle-office products, collaborate closely with business stakeholders, and deliver secure, scalable, high-quality solutions. This role requires both technical depth and the ability to translate business needs into functional products.Responsibilities: Design and build full-stack applications using React (TypeScript) for front-end and Node.js for back-end servicesDevelop and maintain RESTful APIs; integrate with internal and external systemsImplement distributed systems and clean design principles for scalable, high-performance applicationsDeploy and manage cloud-based solutions on Azure (or other cloud platforms) with best practices for security and reliabilityEngage in security remediation activities, primarily focused on fixing findings from security vulnerability scans across business applicationsWrite clean, maintainable code following SDLC standards; perform code reviews and enforce best practicesLeverage AI tooling for SDLC automation, including but not limited to story creation and refinement, code generation, unit test development, and other repeatable operational activitiesMonitor and optimize application performance across the full stackPerform production support activities, applying creative thinking to effectively investigate and resolve production issuesWork with SQL and related technologies to design efficient queries and manage large datasetsImplement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processesEngage with business analysts, stakeholders, and vendors to capture requirements and align technology with business goalsMentor junior developers, ensure timely delivery, and drive continuous improvement in development processesClearly articulate concepts, designs, and strategies to technical and non-technical audiences.Qualifications:Articulate communicator who brings creativity to complex problem-solving skillsExperience coding and building scalable solutions in React (TypeScript), Node.js and JavaScriptProven full-stack experience in API and web application developmentHands-on experience identifying and addressing security vulnerabilities leveraging AIStrong knowledge of distributed systems and clean architecture principlesFamiliarity with Generative AI and passion for leveraging AI tools in SDLCExperience designing systems, Azure (or other cloud providers), and SQLDemonstrated ability to lead projects end-to-end with accountability for qualityAbility to work independently and within cross-functional teams.Required experience in production support activities, including the ability to think creatively and effectively resolve production issuesPreferred:· Experience with Agile methodologies· Proficiency in Python; C# experience is a plus.· Applied AI experience in engineering workflows or business-facing solutionsCompensation:The base salary for this position is expected to be between $135,000.00 and $150,000.00. The base salary offered to the chosen candidate will be commensurate with a candidate’s relevant experience and other qualifications for the position, as determined by the Company in its sole discretion. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus [which is often a meaningful portion of the compensation package], and a robust benefits package.
