This collaborative environment allows our skilled technicians to innovate, mentor one another, and consistently deliver outstanding results.Overview:At SKDLA, we’re looking for a temporary to permanent Ceramist, Crown & Bridge to perform comprehensive case reviews across fixed restorative workflows, ensuring accuracy, fit, function, esthetics, and complete documentation prior to case release. In this role, you’ll partner closely with our digital design, production, ceramics, milling, and customer support teams to proactively identify potential issues, maintain protocol adherence, and uphold SKDLA’s quality benchmarks throughout the manufacturing process.What You'll Be Responsible For:Perform comprehensive quality inspections on Crown & Bridge restorations prior to case release, ensuring compliance with SKDLA quality standards.Evaluate fit, margins, contacts, occlusion, anatomy, shade, contour, surface texture, and overall esthetics of completed restorations.Identify and resolve quality concerns before cases are shipped, partnering with production teams to ensure timely corrective action.Review prescriptions, work orders, digital records, and supporting documentation to confirm accuracy and alignment with case requirements.Collaborate with designers, ceramists, milling technicians, and production leaders to maintain consistency and quality throughout the manufacturing process.Document quality findings, trends, and recurring issues, supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the department.Serve as a technical resource for troubleshooting complex esthetic, functional, and restorative challenges.Ceramist Production SupportPerform ceramic build-up, contouring, staining, glazing, finishing, and characterization of Crown & Bridge restorations as production demands require.Fabricate high-quality restorations that meet clinical requirements for fit, function, esthetics, and durability.Support production throughput by assisting with case completion during periods of increased workload or capacity constraints.Apply advanced ceramic techniques to achieve natural esthetics and consistent outcomes across a variety of restoration types.Collaborate with digital design, milling, and finishing teams to ensure restorations progress efficiently through the production workflow.Assist with remake analysis and corrective actions by identifying root causes and recommending process improvements.Support training, standardization, and best-practice sharing to improve craftsmanship and consistency across the department.Continuous ImprovementPromote a culture of quality, accountability, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement throughout the Crown & Bridge department.Identify opportunities to improve workflows, reduce remakes, enhance esthetic outcomes, and increase production efficiency.Participate in process improvement initiatives focused on quality performance, turnaround times, and customer satisfaction.Who We’re Looking For:5+ years of hands-on Crown & Bridge dental laboratory experience, including significant Ceramist expertise across fixed restorative products.Proven proficiency in ceramic layering, contouring, staining, glazing, characterization, and finishing of crowns, bridges, veneers, implant restorations, and other fixed prosthetics.Strong knowledge of fit, function, occlusion, contacts, anatomy, marginal integrity, shade matching, esthetics, and overall restoration quality standards.Experience performing final quality inspections, technical reviews, and case evaluations, with the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve esthetic, functional, and manufacturing issues before case release.Familiarity with Crown & Bridge workflows, including zirconia, layered ceramics, implant-supported, full-contour, and high-esthetic restorations.Ability to accurately interpret prescriptions, digital scans, models, bite registrations, shade requirements, and restorative specifications with exceptional attention to detail.Strong craftsmanship, quality-focused mindset, and commitment to delivering restorations that meet clinical and esthetic expectations.Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to balance quality and production responsibilities in a fast-paced environment while partnering effectively with designers, technicians, production leaders, customer support teams, and clinicians.Proactive, solutions-oriented professional with a passion for continuous improvement, mentorship, and advancing laboratory quality; experience in high-volume production environments preferred.Why SKDLA?
