Data Scientist - Reinsurance, Python, SQL A specialist prop cat reinsurer is looking for a Data Scientist who can help unlock underwriting potential and drive competitive advantage in risk selection.Role will involve building exposure datasets, analytical models, and integrating advanced AI/LLMs to support decision-making across the business.We want someone who is a go-getter, who can work with autonomy and who’s driven to find value within data.Tech wise we’d expect you to have a strong grasp of Python and SQL coupled with experience of either RE/Insurance, Cat Modelling, risk analytics or geospatial analytics.Fundamentally though you have to be a team player, have the ability to communicate effectively across the business and be easy to work with.Comp is circa £70K - £80K + Bens with a tonne of potential to build upon this in the medium to long-term.Mainly based in office with flex to work from home on a Friday.
