We work with the Department of War to provide the high-speed capabilities our nation and its allies need to maintain a durable, asymmetric advantage.About The RoleWe are seeking a DevOps Engineer to support the development, integration, and deployment of flight software systems. This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, infrastructure, and testing, with a strong emphasis on designing and managing Gitlab CI/CD pipelines, enabling automated Flight Test on various Cloud and HW testbeds including Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL).Responsibilities:Design, implement, and maintain scalable Gitlab CI/CD pipelines to support flight software build, test, and release workflows. Develop and manage containerized environments using Docker to ensure consistency across development, simulation, and test systems. Provision and manage cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services using Infrastructure as Code with Terraform. Build and maintain automated pipelines for SIL and HIL testing, enabling continuous validation of flight software against simulated and real hardware interfaces. Support Flight Test operations by developing reliable deployment, telemetry, and data collection workflows. Integrate hardware test benches with CI/CD systems to enable automated regression testing and real-time feedback. Optimize build systems for performance, reproducibility, and traceability across multiple flight software configurations. Collaborate closely with flight software, avionics, and test engineers to streamline development and test cycles. Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for both cloud and on-premise test environments. Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field3+ years of experience in DevOps, software infrastructure, test automation, or platform engineeringStrong experience designing, building, and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelinesHands-on experience with Docker and containerized development or test environmentsExperience provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure, preferably with AWSFamiliarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as TerraformStrong scripting or programming experience in Python, Bash, or similar languagesExperience supporting build, test, release, or deployment workflows for complex software systemsAbility to work closely with software, hardware, avionics, and test teams in a fast-paced engineering environmentStrong debugging, troubleshooting, and communication skillsPreferred Skills and Experience:Experience supporting flight software, embedded software, robotics, aerospace, automotive, defense, or other safety-critical systemsExperience with Software-in-the-Loop, Hardware-in-the-Loop, or other integrated test environmentsFamiliarity with real-time systems, hardware test benches, avionics systems, or embedded Linux environmentsExperience integrating CI/CD pipelines with physical hardware, lab systems, test rigs, or automated regression test infrastructureExperience with telemetry, data collection, deployment tooling, or operational support for flight test or field test environmentsKnowledge of build systems, artifact management, version control, and release traceability for regulated or mission-critical softwareExperience implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting for cloud and on-premise infrastructureFamiliarity with AWS services commonly used for compute, storage, networking, security, and automationAbility to move quickly between infrastructure design, hands-on implementation, debugging, and cross-functional supportActive or previous security clearance, or ability to obtain oneU.S. EXPORT CONTROL COMPLIANCE STATUSThe person hired will have access to information and items subject to U.S. export controls, and therefore, must either be a “U.S. person” as defined by 22 C.F.R.120.62 or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing.
