Your New RoleReporting directly into the Group Engineering function based in Dubai, the Group Engineering Efficiency & Design Assurance Lead plays a pivotal, high-visibility role across the entire organization. You will serve as the critical bridge between engineering design and field operations, ensuring that hybrid power networks deliver their intended real-world performance.Design Assurance: Review and independently assure complex product designs to ensure they are safe, maintainable, and highly practical in tough field conditions.Sustainability & Efficiency: Lead the technical charge to improve energy efficiency, minimize reliance on diesel generators (DGs), and accelerate the Group's pathway toward zero-DG and net-zero power networks.Validation & Trials: Support and validate proof-of-concept (PoC) and pilot deployments for next-generation renewable energy technologies under live site conditions.Commercial Engineering: Apply financial judgment to develop robust business cases for site upgrades, conducting lifecycle cost analyses to optimize total cost of ownership (TCO).Governance Feedback Loop: Analyze asset lifecycle performance and operational failure trends to actively feed improvements back into Group engineering standards and warranty recovery initiatives.What You'll Need to SucceedWe are looking for a senior systems engineer who can balance high-level technical excellence with commercial acumen in a multi-regional environment.Experience: Significant background in power systems engineering within telecom infrastructure, critical power, or heavy energy environments.Technical Governance: Proven track record in engineering validation, design assurance, or technical governance where you held accountability for actual field performance.Power Systems Expertise: Deep, hands-on understanding of hybrid energy assets, including industrial generators, advanced battery technologies, rectifiers, control systems, and renewables (solar/wind).Commercial Mindset: Demonstrated ability to perform return-on-investment (ROI) assessments and lifecycle cost modeling for engineering projects.Soft Skills: Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with a proven ability to influence technical and non-technical teams across multiple operating countries.What You'll Get in ReturnThis Group-level role offers an exceptional platform to drive true environmental and operational change across a massive international footprint.Compensation: Competitive tax-free basic salary based in Dubai.Performance Rewards: A discretionary corporate bonus scheme tied to performance.Executive Benefits: Comprehensive global medical insurance and life insurance coverage.Impact: Direct ownership of the engineering sustainability roadmap for a major infrastructure leader.What You Need to Do NowIf you are a senior power systems engineer with a background in design governance and a passion for green energy transformation, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV.
