Mid-level Backend .NET Engineer

United ITS is seeking a Mid-level Backend .NET Core Engineer to support our mission-critical aviation systems. You will focus on the tactical execution of backend features, ensuring system responsiveness and data integrity within a distributed environment.Core Accountabilities (What you will deliver)API Ecosystem: Architecting and maintaining robust RESTful endpoints via ASP.NET Core.Distributed Operations: Developing modular microservices that ensure high system availability.Integration Pipelines: Engineering event-driven middleware to bridge communication between external engines and core platforms.Data & Geospatial Integrity: Translating complex business requirements into optimized PostgreSQL schemas and spatial queries.System Resiliency: Managing concurrency, thread safety, and asynchronous workflows to ensure zero-downtime performance.Delivery Standards: Maintaining code health through automated testing and collaborative peer reviews.Technical Prerequisites (What you bring)Core Development: 2–4 years of specialized experience in the .NET ecosystem.Microservices Architecture: Practical understanding of service-oriented communication and decoupling strategies.Database Management: Advanced competency in PostgreSQL (performance tuning) and PostGIS (spatial analysis).Advanced Programming: Proven mastery of multithreading, async/await, and low-latency system design.Security & Protocols: Technical command of OAuth2, JWT implementation, and secure API practices.Problem-Solving: Proven capacity to analyze performance metrics and resolve bottlenecks in real-time environments.Additional QualificationsInfrastructure: Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes and CI/CD orchestration.Domain Expertise: Prior engagement in aviation, defense, or high-reliability software sectors.
