Their technology enables seamless coordination, monitoring, and orchestration of autonomous fleets through scalable, real-time software infrastructure.They are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help architect and scale mission-critical backend systems that support high-performance operational environments and real-time automation workflows.What You’ll Be Working OnDesigning and building scalable backend services for real-time operational platformsDeveloping high-performance APIs and distributed systems using modern backend architecture principlesCreating robust integrations across multiple autonomous systems and third-party platformsManaging complex data ecosystems including relational, geospatial, and time-series dataBuilding low-latency communication systems capable of processing high-frequency event streamsDriving platform reliability, observability, security, and multi-tenant scalabilityCollaborating with product, infrastructure, and engineering teams to deliver production-grade solutionsMentoring engineers and contributing to engineering standards, reviews, and technical directionWhat They’re Looking For5+ years of backend engineering experience in modern SaaS or platform environmentsStrong expertise in Java or Kotlin with Spring BootExperience designing distributed systems and scalable API architecturesStrong knowledge of PostgreSQL and complex data modelingExperience working with geospatial (GIS/PostGIS) and/or time-series databasesHands-on experience with real-time communication technologies such as WebSockets or MQTTExperience integrating third-party APIs and building abstraction/service layersStrong understanding of software quality, observability, testing, and security best practicesAbility to operate independently in fast-moving and ambiguous environmentsNice to HaveExperience with React, Next.js, or TypeScriptExposure to AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, and CI/CD pipelinesBackground in robotics, logistics platforms, fleet management, industrial IoT, or autonomous systemsExperience with multi-tenant SaaS platforms and RBAC/security modelsRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical fieldStrong communication skills in English
