Senior Infrastructure Systems Engineer

THIS IS NOT A DEVOPS/SRE ROLE!Senior Systems Engineer (Microsoft Infrastructure & Automation)Note: This is not a networking or frontline security support role.Design, deploy, and manage hybrid environments spanning on-premises and Azure (IaaS, PaaS, M365)Implement and manage Entra ID (Azure AD), identity federation, and role-based access control (RBAC)Lead device lifecycle automation using Intune, Autopilot, and modern endpoint management strategiesArchitect and maintain disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity solutions using Azure-native tools (e.g., Azure Site Recovery)Develop and maintain PowerShell automation for system configuration and operational efficiencyBuild and manage ARM/Bicep templates to standardize Azure deploymentsImplement IaC practices across VMware and Hyper-V environments for scalable provisioningLeverage Azure Automation, Azure Arc, and System Center for unified hybrid infrastructure managementDesign self-service provisioning and automated workflows across Microsoft platformsIntegrate Microsoft Graph, Logic Apps, and Power Automate to streamline operationsAdminister and optimize Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive)Utilize Microsoft Purview, Defender, and Sentinel for governance, compliance, and security alignmentSupport conditional access, identity protection, and zero-trust initiativesMonitor system health using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Endpoint AnalyticsAnalyze trends and proactively improve performance, cost efficiency, and reliabilityEnsure adherence to SLOs and service performance targetsPlan and execute cloud migrations and DR strategies for on-prem workloadsConduct failover testing and recovery simulationsPartner with stakeholders to modernize legacy applications for cloud readinessSupport audits and remediation efforts using Microsoft compliance toolsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field7–10 years of experience in infrastructure engineering or systems administrationStrong expertise across Azure, Microsoft 365, Intune, Autopilot, and PowerShellExperience with hybrid environments and cloud transformation initiativesTechnical SkillsDeep understanding of Azure services, governance, and cost optimizationHands-on experience with Azure Site Recovery, backup, and DR orchestrationFamiliarity with VMware and/or Hyper-V virtualization platformsExperience with endpoint management, SCCM co-management, and policy automationStrong scripting and automation mindset (PowerShell required)Preferred CertificationsMicrosoft Certified: Azure Administrator AssociateMicrosoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect ExpertMicrosoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator ExpertITIL Foundation (or equivalent)
