Location: Client premises, Dubai, UAE (onsite)Salary: AED 10,000 – 13,000 per monthBenefits: Work visa, annual air tickets, medical insurance, gratuity, paid time offExperience Required: 5–8 years of relevant experienceReference: FZ-AE-438We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong, hands-on Pentaho Enterprise Edition experience to design, build, and manage ETL workflows over Oracle and file-based data sources. The role combines advanced SQL and PL/SQL with end-to-end Pentaho Data Integration development, supporting and tuning production data pipelines and resolving issues at root cause.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and manage ETL workflows using the Pentaho Data Integration (PDI) platform, Enterprise Edition.Implement complex data-integration requirements including data cleansing, validation, and transformation across multiple sources.Integrate Pentaho with databases, flat files, XML, JSON, and APIs as both source and target systems.Support workflow failures end to end — debug, analyse root cause, and deliver lasting solutions.Analyse source-to-target data discrepancies, publish findings, and monitor data infrastructure for performance and reliability.Document data pipelines, processes, and best practices, and collaborate with IT and business teams on shared goals.Required Skills & Experience5 to 8 years of data-integration / ETL engineering experience with strong, hands-on Pentaho Enterprise Edition (develop and manage).Expert use of Pentaho Data Integration tools — Spoon, Kitchen, and Pan — to design and optimise transformations and jobs.Hands-on Oracle database experience, handling flat files and databases as both source and target.Advanced SQL and PL/SQL — writing, optimising, and debugging complex queries and stored procedures, including bulk data processing.Proficiency in data modelling, schema design, and query optimisation, and in designing modular, reusable ETL components for large-scale pipelines.Strong problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and documentation skills, with solid communication for cross-functional collaboration.
