Job ObjectiveSupply chain director leads overall supply chain operations, including logistics, inventory and distribution of finished goods. Develops and implement strategy to ensure that all processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals and performance KPIsEnvironment- Internal: GEPD management, plasma procurement, manufacturing, sales, finance, logistics andprocurement.- External: Vendors and governmental authorities.Key responsibility- Direct the activities of all functions involved in the purchasing, logistics, soft goods warehousing and control of materials, from the receipt of forecasting replenishment needs to the delivery of the finished product into inventory goods.- Responsible for logistics.- Maintain compliance with all relevant laws and regulatory requirements and ethical standards related to Supply Chain.- Lead and coach others in maintaining excellence on cGMP, quality control, and safety.- Recognize obstacles and implement solutions to drive positive results.- Develop and continuously improve supply chain programs.- Participate in the design and implementation of SAP system and optimize its use.- Drive continuous improvement, kaizen/lean projects, and productivity to drive savings and efficiency.- Develop and manage departmental budgets.- Establishes annual goals and targets, in coordination with corporate objectives, and manage performance.- Ensure GEPD is operating at the highest level of performance based on key performance metrics and minimized supply chain risk.- Develop in collaboration with other functions ex. Legal & finance comprehensive procurement SOPs.- Oversee and manage every stage of the production flow, from logistics of the raw materials to the delivery of the final product.- Plan and implement logistical strategy, ensuring targets are met.- Oversee potential product storage, handling and distribution.- Manage and minimize the risks (for example operational or reputational) that could affect or interrupt the supply chain.Academic experience requiredEssential:- Bachelor’s degree: Engineering, Pharmaceutical, Business, or similar field.Preferred:- Master’s degree in business administration or similar field is preferrable.Professional Experience RequiredEssential:- Minimum 12 years of operations/production experience of which at least 5 years of experience in a strategic sourcing or purchasing role in a developed industry.- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing a multidisciplinary team/matrix organization.- Knowledgeable in Material Resource Planning (MRP).Preferred:- Previous experience in pharmaceutical industry.Computing Skills- Excellent command in all Microsoft Office applications.- Experience in ERP system; SAP experience preferred.Personal Skills- Communication and presentation skills.- Strong and diverse leadership capabilities.- Solid analytical skills.- Self-motivating and able to motivate others.- Ability to embrace, implement, & drive changes.- Ability to accommodate fast paced industries.- Ability to work independently while managing multiple teams.- Ability to perform financial analysis.- Must demonstrate a willingness to adapt and learn new systems, procedures, etc.Languages- Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic.
