2026- 2027 Special Education PositionsPositions Include: Emotional Support Teacher (Grades K-8), Autistic Support Teacher (Grades K-8), Learning Support Teacher (Grades K-8), Wilson Reading Teacher (Grades 3-8)OverviewThe Philadelphia Charter School for Arts & Sciences seeks full-time Special Education professionals to join the team at our neighborhood campus located at 1197 Haworth St. At Arts & Sciences, students in grades K-8 engage in a unique educational program designed to grow the next generation of creative leaders, and where students focus on the arts and sciences as major subjects alongside a technology-infused, standards-driven academic curriculum. Our teachers are creative, passionate, professional educators that believe every student has specific intelligences that must be nurtured and that all students should have an equal opportunity to achieve their own innate potential. All String Theory Schools campuses have a Special Education Supervisor!

Qualifications

Required for Learning Support Teacher: Bachelor’s or Advanced DegreePA Certification in Special Education K-8 or Special Education N-12Required for Emotional Support TeacherBachelor’s or Advanced DegreePA Certification in both Special Education K-8 or Special Education N-12 and Elementary Education grade level/specific subjectRequired for Autistic Support TeacherBachelor’s or Advanced DegreePA Certification in both Special Education K-8 and Elementary Education grade level/specific subjectRequired for Wilson Reading TeacherPA Certification in Special Education or Elementary EducationWilson Language System program certificate: Wilson Dyslexia PractitionerRequired for all Special Education positions:Criminal history, child abuse and FBI clearances (Acts 34, 151 and FBI)Candidates must be US Citizens and have permission to work in the United States.
