Apply & track with Apply EdgePRODUCTION SUPERVISOR - 2nd SHIFTSalary: $72,500Shift: Mon-Fri 3:30pm to 1:30amPosition SummaryThe Production Supervisor I is responsible for overseeing daily production floor activities and supporting the overall Production Department. This role ensures production goals are met through effective leadership, communication, planning, and adherence to quality, safety, efficiency, and lean manufacturing standards.The Production Supervisor will lead and develop production team members, coordinate daily production activities, manage staffing needs, and work cross-functionally to ensure schedules, materials, quality requirements, and production targets are achieved.Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Operations Oversee daily production floor activities and support production goals. Coordinate with Scheduling, Purchasing, Engineering, and Program Managers regarding production schedules, forecasts, and material requirements. Forecast upcoming workload and adjust staffing levels as needed. Work with area supervisors to support daily production activities and resolve operational issues. Set up machinery as needed to produce quality parts. Help ensure departments maintain 85% overall efficiency. Support continuous improvement initiatives designed to improve throughput, efficiency, and productivity. Maintain proper 5S standards throughout the production environment.Team Leadership & Development Provide direct leadership and supervision to production employees. Lead shift hand-off meetings and ensure effective communication of operational updates. Train team members on inspection, packaging, quality, and production requirements. Ensure employees understand and follow part quality requirements. Manage employee performance and provide coaching, direction, and feedback as needed. Promote teamwork, accountability, respect, cooperation, and open communication. Remain calm and effective when managing production disruptions or high-pressure situations.Quality & Manufacturing Ensure production activities meet established quality requirements and customer expectations. Read and interpret part prints and bills of materials. Identify and resolve manufacturing issues, disruptions, and quality concerns. Support lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement efforts. Ensure production processes are followed consistently and efficiently.Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance Implement and enforce company safety policies and procedures. Take reasonable precautions to protect the health and safety of employees. Ensure equipment, materials, and protective equipment are maintained in safe working condition. Provide appropriate information, instruction, training, and supervision to promote a safe workplace. Ensure employees follow applicable health and safety policies, programs, practices, and regulations. Identify and report workplace hazards, safety concerns, equipment defects, and other conditions that may create risk. Ensure employees properly use required personal protective equipment and safety devices. Support the company's environmental and sustainability initiatives.Qualifications Prior direct personnel management or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience working in a high-speed manufacturing environment. Strong leadership, organizational, and team-building skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work effectively with employees and leaders at all levels of an organization. Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines. Ability to delegate effectively and manage multiple priorities. Ability to read and interpret part prints and bills of materials. Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts and 5S principles. Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and PowerPoint. Fluent in English, both written and verbal. Bilingual skills preferred.,
