Company Description Leino is a senior IT staff augmentation and full-cycle product development partner that helps organizations scale engineering capabilities quickly and reliably. The company adds experienced engineers to client teams within days or delivers complete products end to end, operating as a long-term partner rather than a temporary vendor. Leino focuses on stability and accountability, avoiding the lengthy hiring timelines and unreliability often associated with freelancers. Based in Dubai (FZCO), the company collaborates with clients across the GCC and globally, offering technically strong and dependable engineering support.Role Description We're looking for an engineer who works in 3D as an engineering tool, not a presentation one. You'll model our products, prove they hold up under load through calculation and simulation, and simulate how they fit and perform in the customer's actual space — before a single plate is cut. This role sits between design, the shop floor and the customer. Your models drive the quotation, the structural justification, the shop drawings and the CNC output.Requirements: 3D modelling and CAD (must-have)Strong hands-on 3D CAD for mechanical and structural work — SolidWorks, Inventor, Fusion 360, Creo, Rhino or equivalentParametric and configurable modelling: building families of products that adapt to customer dimensions rather than one-off geometryLarge assemblies, weldments, sheet metal and structural profilesProducing manufacturing-ready output: shop and fabrication drawings, GD&T, BOMs, flat patterns and DXF/CNC filesStructural calculation and simulationFinite element analysis in practice, not in theory: ANSYS, Abaqus, SolidWorks Simulation, Nastran or similarStatic and structural analysis: stress, deflection, buckling, stability, welded and bolted connection checksDefining realistic load cases, boundary conditions and safety factors — and being able to defend themHand calculations to sanity-check FEA results; you know when a simulation is lying to youFatigue, dynamic or thermal analysis where the application demands itMotion and kinematic simulation for moving assemblies and material-handling equipmentStandards and materialsStructural steel design codes — Eurocode 3 (EN 1993), EN 1090 execution classes, AISC or local equivalentsWelding standards and their design implications (EN ISO 3834, weld sizing and access)Steel grades and their mechanical properties; material selection for load, environment and corrosionLoad, safety and certification requirements relevant to our productsSpace and installation simulationModelling the customer's environment and placing our products in it: fit, clearance, access, clash detectionLayout and configuration studies — how much fits, in what arrangement, at what capacityLoad path and floor loading considerations, anchoring and interfaces with existing structureErgonomics, access routes, installation sequence and lifting/rigging feasibilityClear visual output for customers and sales: renders, walkthroughs, dimensioned layoutsDesign for manufactureDesigning for our actual processes — cutting, bending, forming, welding, machining, powder coatingRealistic tolerances, weld access, fixturing and assembly sequenceCost awareness: material utilisation, nesting, labour, and knowing where a design choice gets expensiveWorking directly with fabricators and welders and taking their feedback into the modelWays of workingComfortable talking to customers and translating a rough requirement into a specified, calculable designVersion control and drawing management disciplineFluent in EnglishStrongly welcomedTekla Structures, Advance Steel or other steel detailing / BIM experience, and IFC or Revit interoperabilityAutomation and scripting against CAD/FEA APIs (Python, VBA) — parametric configurators, automated quoting geometryCFD or thermal simulationExperience in steel fabrication, structural steel, storage/racking systems, or industrial equipmentPoint cloud / 3D scanning of existing sites and as-built verificationVR or AR presentation of designs to customersChartered / professional engineer status, or a structural engineering qualificationERP/MRP integration of BOMs and production data
