FERROFAB FZE · Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Apply & track with Apply EdgeThe candidate must possess deep technical proficiency in CADWorx 3D Plant Professional and extensive exposure to all types of process and utility skid packages. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of major Middle East oil company specifications (ADNOC, PDO, Shell, etc.). In addition to leading the technical design, the candidate will play a critical role in commercial phases, including Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE), estimation support during bidding, and the procurement lifecycle for valves and instrumentation.Key Responsibilities1. Technical Design & CADWorx ModelingDesign Experience of modular systems, including chemical injection skids, pump packages, multi-phase separation systems, gas dehydration units, and utility skids.Develop high-quality 3D models using CADWorx based on P&IDs, plot plans, and structural limitations.Optimize skid layouts for structural integrity, maintenance accessibility, ergonomic operation, and lifting/transportation constraints.Review and approve critical technical deliverables, including Material Take-offs (MTO), Bill of Materials (BOM), piping general arrangements (GAs), and fabrication isometric extractions.2. Commercial Bidding & Estimation SupportSupport the proposals team during the pre-award phase by providing accurate material estimates, weight estimations, and structural sizing for aggressive bidding.Conduct Technical Bid Evaluations for major equipment, structural materials, and sub-vendor packages to ensure full compliance with client specifications.Identify technical risks and optimizations early in the bidding lifecycle to ensure competitive and practical commercial offerings.3. Procurement Lifecycle & SourcingTake ownership of procurement engineering for critical skid components, specifically valves (ball, gate, globe, check, and control valves) and instrumentation (transmitters, gauges, flow meters).Prepare technical specifications, datasheets, and Material Requisitions (MRs) for procurement teams.Review vendor drawings, data sheets, and calculations to ensure complete alignment with the overall package requirements.4. Compliance & Fabricator Shop SupportEnforce absolute compliance with international codes (ASME B31.3, ASME Section VIII, API, AWS) and regional operator standards (ADNOC, PDO, Shell DEPs, etc.).Provide direct engineering resolution on the shop floor for Technical Queries (TQs) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) during assembly, welding, and hydro-testing.Lead 3D model reviews and HAZOP sessions directly with clients and national oil company (NOC) representatives.Required Qualifications & SkillsEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.12+ years of solid experience in an Oil & Gas fabrication yard or modular EPC environment.Proven track record of delivering successfully commissioned skid-mounted packages within the GCC/Middle East region.Technical CompetenciesExpert Proficiency in CADWorx: Advanced capability in 3D modeling, equipment creation, specification building, and automated drawing extraction.Standard & Specification Mastery: Authoritative knowledge of ADNOC, PDO, and Shell DEPs, alongside standard ASME/API codes.Commercial Acumen: Strong background in technical estimation, vendor negotiation support, and detailed TBE preparation.Component Expertise: Deep understanding of valve trim materials, pressure ratings, and instrument selection suitable for sour and severe service oil and gas environments.
