Location: Jeddah, Saudi ArabiaIndustry: Food / FMCGEmployment Type: Full-timeSalary- 8000- 10,000 SAR All inclusiveAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Logistics Operations Supervisor to be based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, representing a leading international food business and working closely with its appointed 3PL logistics service provider.The role will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating day-to-day logistics operations across food imports, customs clearance, warehousing, inventory, storage, outbound transportation, deliveries and re-export activities.The successful candidate will act as the key operational link between the 3PL provider and the company's regional teams, ensuring smooth execution, accurate documentation, inventory control, cost visibility and compliance with applicable Saudi requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the primary day-to-day operational contact with the appointed 3PL logistics service provider in Saudi Arabia.Supervise and coordinate warehouse, customs clearance, transportation, delivery and logistics activities carried out by the 3PL.Coordinate closely with internal Finance, Operations, Logistics, Sales and Compliance teams and provide timely operational updates and escalations.Coordinate inbound food shipments from arrival through customs clearance, receipt and put-away, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.Review and follow up on customs clearance documentation, supporting invoices and shipment-related documentation.Supervise warehouse and cold-chain operations, including receiving, storage, stock segregation, handling, picking, loading and dispatch of food products.Maintain strong inventory control and reconcile physical/3PL inventory against company records, investigating and resolving discrepancies.Monitor batch/lot details, production and expiry dates, stock condition and FEFO/FIFO requirements.Identify and proactively report slow-moving, short-dated, damaged or at-risk inventory.Coordinate sales order execution with the sales team, regional operations team and 3PL provider, ensuring stock availability and dispatch requirements are aligned.Coordinate outbound transportation and final-customer deliveries, including scheduling, loading, proof of delivery and resolution of delivery exceptions.Coordinate re-export activities when required, including warehouse release, transportation, customs and shipping documentation.Review logistics charges from the 3PL and other service providers, including clearance, storage and transportation charges, against agreed rates and supporting documents.Support accurate allocation of logistics costs by shipment, container or order and provide relevant information for landed-cost and profitability reporting.Maintain daily and weekly operational trackers covering inbound shipments, customs clearance, inventory, deliveries, pending documentation, claims and operational issues.Ensure the 3PL provides accurate and timely inventory, warehouse, transportation and operational reports.Coordinate and document operational exceptions including damages, shortages, temperature-related issues, quality concerns, returns, rejected deliveries and claims.Monitor 3PL performance against agreed SLAs/KPIs, identify recurring issues and support corrective actions.Support customer onboarding and operational setup by ensuring the 3PL is informed of approved customers, delivery requirements and relevant documentation.Maintain organized records of shipping, customs, warehouse, transportation, invoice and proof-of-delivery documentation.Support continuous improvement of logistics processes as the Saudi business develops.Provide operational support for urgent shipment, customs, warehouse or delivery matters when required.Ensure compliance with applicable Saudi laws, food import requirements, customs procedures, internal controls and company policies.Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related discipline.Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in logistics, supply chain, warehousing or 3PL operations.Strong direct experience working with or managing 3PL operations is essential.Practical experience in food import logistics, customs clearance, warehousing/storage, outbound distribution and/or re-export operations is strongly preferred.Experience within Food, FMCG or consumer goods, particularly involving temperature-controlled or cold-chain operations, will be highly advantageous.Strong understanding of inventory control, warehouse documentation, transportation coordination and logistics cost verification.Experience working with ERP/WMS systems is an advantage.Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.Good understanding of Saudi logistics and customs processes will be an advantage.Strong documentation, analytical, problem-solving and follow-through skills.Good written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic would be an advantage.Proactive, self-driven and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced operational environment.Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams, customers, customs/clearance parties and 3PL service providers.Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate will be a hands-on logistics professional who has experience managing day-to-day operations through a 3PL environment.
