The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and engaging classroom environment that fosters academic excellence, curiosity, creativity, and character development. This individual will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive curriculum while supporting the intellectual, social, and emotional growth of each student.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver developmentally appropriate instruction in core subject areas, including language arts, mathematics, science, and social studiesCreate a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and a love of learningAssess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to students and parentsDifferentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of studentsIncorporate technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning experiencesCollaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning and school-wide initiativesMaintain open, professional, and effective communication with parents, faculty, and administrationSupport students' social-emotional development and character growthParticipate in school events, faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and other community activitiesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred)Valid teaching certification (or ability to obtain)Prior elementary teaching experience preferred, with experience in upper elementary grades considered a plusStrong classroom management and organizational skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsCommitment to fostering a nurturing, engaging, and academically rigorous learning environmentPreferred AttributesPassion for working with children and supporting their growth and developmentCreativity, flexibility, and enthusiasm in instructional approachesAbility to integrate technology effectively into the classroomCollaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to the school communityCommitment to lifelong learning and professional growthAbout Keith Country Day SchoolKeith Country Day School is a college-preparatory independent school dedicated to academic excellence, character development, and individualized learning.
