Apply & track with Apply EdgePosition PurposeThe Sales Intern will support the Sales team in daily operations, client engagement activities, and administrative functions. This role is designed to provide practical experience within a dynamic hospitality environment, offering exposure to corporate sales, account management, business development, and customer relationship management while contributing to the achievement of the hotel's sales objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the Sales team with administrative tasks, including preparing sales reports, maintaining databases, organizing files, and coordinating meetings.Support the preparation of proposals, contracts, presentations, and other sales-related documentation.Assist in managing client inquiries and follow up with prospective and existing clients as directed by the Sales team.Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and account information in the relevant systems.Coordinate with operational departments to support site inspections, client visits, and sales events.Conduct market research on competitors, industry trends, and potential business opportunities.Assist in managing corporate accounts and ensuring timely communication with clients.Support the planning and execution of sales promotions, trade shows, networking events, and business development activities.Help prepare weekly and monthly sales performance reports.Contribute ideas to improve customer engagement, client retention, and revenue generation initiatives.Skills & CompetenciesStrong interest in Sales, Business Development, Hospitality, or Customer Relationship Management.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong organizational and time-management abilities.Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.Positive attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Ability to work collaboratively within a team and build professional relationships.Customer-focused mindset with good problem-solving skills.QualificationsCurrently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.Working ConditionsMay require working on weekends or public holidays based on business needs and events.May involve extended periods of computer use, attending meetings, or participating in client visits and hotel site inspections.Must adhere to the hotel's grooming, appearance, and professional conduct standards.
