With a strong focus on crew wellbeing, digitization, and environmentally responsible practices, Synergy is driving innovation and sustainable transformation in the ship management industry.Role Description This is an on-site Able Seaman role based in Delhi, India. The Able Seaman will perform deck operations such as mooring, anchoring, cargo handling support, and watchkeeping under the supervision of deck officers. Daily duties include routine maintenance and cleaning of deck areas, chipping, painting, greasing, and assisting with the safe operation and stowage of equipment. The role also involves participating in safety drills, emergency procedures, and ensuring compliance with company safety standards and maritime regulations. The Able Seaman will collaborate closely with other crew members to maintain vessel seaworthiness and support efficient voyage operations.Qualifications Relevant seafarer certification as Able Seaman (AB) in accordance with STCW and national regulations.Proven experience in deck operations, including mooring, anchoring, watchkeeping, and basic cargo handling.Strong understanding of maritime safety procedures, emergency response, and safe working practices on deck.Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks in varying weather and sea conditions.Ability to follow instructions, work collaboratively in a multicultural crew, and maintain professional conduct.Basic English communication skills, both spoken and written, for effective coordination and reporting.Familiarity with environmentally responsible practices and adherence to company policies and industry regulations.Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development programs offered by the company.
