Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with students to understand their goals, recommending suitable courses and study plans, and guiding them on exam preparation strategies. The Academic Advisor collaborates with faculty and administrative staff to monitor student progress, address academic challenges, and coordinate interventions where needed. The role also involves conducting information sessions for students and families, maintaining accurate advising records, and contributing to a supportive, motivational learning environment aligned with ALLEN’s educational standards.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Student Counseling and Career Counseling skills to guide learners effectively toward their academic and professional goals.Candidates should possess excellent Communication abilities to interact clearly and respectfully with students, families, and staff.Candidates should possess solid Academic Advising skills to develop individualized study plans and track academic progress.Candidates should possess a background in Education or a related field to understand curricula, examinations, and learning methodologies.Additional beneficial qualifications include prior experience in test-preparation or coaching institutes, proficiency with basic office and educational software, strong organizational and record-keeping skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced academic environment.A bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, psychology, or a related discipline is preferred; relevant certifications in academic or career counseling are an advantage.
