Grow Global.” reflecting its commitment to applied learning and global career growth.Role Description The Academic Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based at Corrivex School of Shipping in Kozhikode. The person in this role will provide academic and career guidance to students, helping them understand program structures, course options, and pathways into freight forwarding and shipping careers. Daily responsibilities include conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, supporting students with academic planning, and guiding learners on skill development aligned with GCC-focused industry requirements. The Academic Advisor will collaborate with faculty and placement teams to monitor student progress, address academic or behavioral concerns, and coordinate workshops and information sessions on career readiness. Additional tasks include maintaining accurate advising records, contributing to student engagement initiatives, and ensuring a supportive, inclusive learning environment.Qualifications Strong student-facing skills, including Student Counseling and Academic Advising, with the ability to support diverse learner needs.Career development capabilities, including Career Counseling and Education-related guidance, focused on shipping and logistics pathways.Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written, for clear interactions with students, faculty, and external stakeholders.Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Counseling, Psychology, Business, Logistics, or a related field.Experience in academic advising, student services, or training institutes; exposure to shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding is an advantage.Ability to organize advising activities, manage multiple student cases, and use digital tools or CRM systems for tracking student progress.Strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and a student-centered approach to guidance and problem solving.
