The organization aims to be a lifelong learning companion, removing barriers related to cost or location and empowering learners and academic partners to reach their full potential.Role Description The Academic Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Bangalore Urban. The person in this role will guide learners through their academic journey by providing individualized counseling on program selection, course planning, and learning pathways aligned with career goals. Daily responsibilities include meeting with learners, responding to queries via email and phone, monitoring academic progress, and recommending support resources when needed. The Academic Advisor will collaborate with faculty, student support teams, and university partners to ensure learners stay engaged, meet program requirements, and achieve tangible outcomes. The role also involves maintaining accurate advising records, contributing to learner outreach initiatives, and continuously improving advising practices based on feedback and data.Qualifications Strong student counseling and academic advising skills, with the ability to support diverse learner needs.Experience or training in career counseling and education, focused on re-skilling and up-skilling pathways.Excellent communication skills, including clear spoken and written English for learner interaction and documentation.Ability to build rapport, demonstrate empathy, and maintain a learner-centered approach in all advising activities.Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field; advanced qualifications are an advantage.Familiarity with online and blended learning environments and comfort with using digital tools and student management systems.Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail in tracking learner progress and outcomes.Prior experience in academic advising, student services, or higher education is preferred.
