This role involves providing academic guidance to students in English language and literature, helping learners set and achieve academic goals, and supporting their progress through structured advising sessions. The advisor will conduct student counseling, assist with course selection and study planning, and offer career counseling related to English and broader humanities pathways. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring student performance, collaborating with faculty and school leadership, maintaining accurate advising records, and contributing to initiatives that improve learner outcomes and engagement in English. The Academic Advisor will also participate in workshops, orientation programs, and outreach activities to promote effective learning strategies and 21st-century skills.Qualifications Strong student-focused advising capabilities, including Student Counseling and Academic Advising skills.Effective interpersonal and spoken/written Communication skills for engaging learners, guardians, and educators.Demonstrated ability in Career Counseling, especially related to English studies, humanities, and education pathways.Sound understanding of Education principles, K–12 curricula, and contemporary pedagogical practices in English.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.Experience working with school-age learners or in an academic advisory, teaching, or mentoring role.Ability to use digital tools and education platforms for student tracking, reporting, and communication.Organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a school or edtech environment.
