Apply & track with Apply EdgeThis is a remote position.Academic Coach & Student AdvisorPosition OverviewThe Academic Coach & Student Advisor works directly with school leadership, teaching staff, and students across our chain of US-based Islamic schools. This role bridges high-level executive goals with classroom and student execution—driving instructional quality, supporting curriculum alignment, and providing direct academic, career, and holistic guidance to students.The candidate will empower students with essential educational information, supportive training and courses and character development. RequirementsDirect Student Coaching & Academic Advising Conduct 1-on-1 and small-group academic coaching sessions to help students build study skills, time management, and goal-setting strategies. Guide middle and high school students through academic tracking, high school course planning, standard test preparation, and college/career exploration. Observe classroom instruction and provide actionable, data-driven feedback to teaching staff based on supportive courses attempted by the students through various platforms. Facilitate student-led academic interventions, peer-tutoring initiatives, and habit-building workshops. Assist students in overcoming learning barriers, academic anxiety, and motivation challenges in collaboration with teachers and parents. Operational & Executive Alignment Maintain regular alignment with the executive school board, providing concise, high-level reporting on educational KPIs, student achievement metrics, and coaching milestones. Qualifications & RequirementsEducation Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, School Counseling, or Curriculum & Instruction (required). Experience 5+ years of 6–10 standard teaching or academic advising experience. 2+ years in an instructional coaching, student advising, or supervisory role. Domain Knowledge Deep understanding of US K–10 curriculum standards, college readiness frameworks, and standardized assessment models. Cultural Competency Strong grounding in educational values, youth mentorship, and cultural dynamics within a North American context.
