Academic Counsellor (Edtech)

Role Description The Academic Counsellor (Edtech) will work on-site in Bengaluru in a full-time capacity, supporting learners through their educational and career journeys. Day-to-day responsibilities include guiding students on suitable courses and programs, conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, and providing academic advising based on individual interests, abilities, and goals. The role involves explaining edtech offerings, helping learners understand learning pathways, and recommending strategies to improve academic performance and skill development. The Academic Counsellor will collaborate with internal teams, maintain accurate student records, follow up on learner progress, and participate in events or workshops that promote educational programs. The position requires consistent communication with students, guardians, and stakeholders to ensure a positive learning experience and successful outcomes.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong Student Counseling and Career Counseling skills to guide learners in choosing appropriate educational and career paths.Candidates should possess effective Academic Advising and Education-related knowledge to support academic planning and learning strategies.Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication, active listening, and the ability to explain complex information simply.Relevant experience in edtech, education, or academic counseling, preferably in a student-facing role.Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is preferred.Ability to build trust with diverse learners, manage multiple cases simultaneously, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Comfort with using digital tools, learning platforms, and basic MS Office or similar applications.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a learner-centric approach to problem-solving.
