Academic Counsellor (edtech)

Role Description The Academic Counsellor (edtech) role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The Academic Counsellor will guide prospective and current learners through program options, helping them understand course structures, learning outcomes, and suitable academic paths. Daily responsibilities include conducting student counseling sessions, providing academic advising, and supporting career planning aligned with the learners’ interests and goals. The role also involves maintaining accurate records of learner interactions, collaborating with internal teams to improve counseling processes, and participating in events or webinars to promote educational offerings. The Academic Counsellor is expected to communicate clearly, follow ethical advising practices, and contribute to a positive learner experience.QualificationsDemonstrated ability in student counseling and academic advising, with a focus on learner-centric guidance.Experience or training in career counseling and education-related support for diverse learner profiles.Strong communication skills, including active listening, clear verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.Familiarity with edtech platforms or online learning environments and comfort with basic digital tools.Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru, manage multiple cases, and maintain accurate documentation.Prior experience in academic counseling, career services, or student support in an educational or edtech setting is an advantage.
