Its vision is to be the world’s most trusted education platform, making transformative learning accessible to every child, regardless of background.Role Description The Academic Counsellor role at BrightCHAMPS is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The Academic Counsellor will guide students and families in understanding course offerings, learning paths, and skill development opportunities aligned with each learner’s goals. This role involves conducting counseling sessions, explaining program structures, clarifying academic expectations, and supporting students in choosing appropriate courses. The Academic Counsellor will track student progress, collaborate with teaching and operations teams, and provide timely feedback and support to enhance learning outcomes and engagement. The role also includes maintaining accurate records, responding to queries via multiple channels, and contributing to continuous improvement of counseling processes and student experience.QualificationsStrong Student Counseling skills with the ability to support learners and families in making informed academic decisions.Effective Academic Advising capabilities to guide students on learning paths and course selections.Career Counseling skills to help students understand future opportunities connected to BrightCHAMPS programs.Excellent Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and active listening.Background or strong interest in Education and child development, ideally within edtech or K-12 learning environments.Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field; relevant certifications are an advantage.Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru, manage multiple cases, and maintain accurate documentation and follow-up.Comfort with technology platforms, CRM tools, and online communication channels; prior experience in student-support roles is beneficial.
