This full-time position involves meeting with students to discuss academic plans, course selection, and progression requirements, as well as helping learners understand institutional policies and resources. The role includes conducting one-on-one and group counseling sessions, organizing workshops on study skills and career options, and collaborating with faculty and administration to address student concerns. The Academic Counselor will maintain accurate student records, track progress, and prepare reports to support continuous improvement of counseling services. The position also requires proactive outreach to students who may be at academic risk and ongoing communication with guardians when appropriate, in line with institutional policies.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Student Counseling and Career Counseling skills to guide learners in academic, career, and personal development decisions.Candidates should possess effective Academic Advising and Education-related knowledge to support course planning, academic progression, and understanding of curricula.Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including active listening, clear verbal and written communication, and the ability to build trust with diverse student populations.Candidates should possess organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple student cases, maintain records, and meet institutional timelines.Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Psychology, Education, Counseling, or a related field are preferred.Experience in academic counseling or student support services in an educational institution is highly beneficial.Familiarity with local and national academic programs, entrance exams, and career pathways for engineering and technical fields is an advantage.
