The school is committed to helping each learner realize their full potential and to creating an environment where every student can thrive.Role Description The Academic Head is a full-time, on-site role based in Jeddah, responsible for leading the academic vision and implementation of the British curriculum at Hera International School. This role oversees curriculum planning and development, ensures alignment with educational standards, and monitors teaching quality across all grade levels. The Academic Head supports and mentors teachers, coordinates professional development, and leads academic teams to enhance student outcomes. Daily responsibilities include reviewing lesson plans, analyzing assessment data, setting academic targets, and collaborating with school leadership on policies, timetables, and resource allocation. The Academic Head also maintains regular communication with parents and guardians on academic matters and contributes to whole-school initiatives that enrich the learning environment.Qualifications Strong expertise in Educational Management and Education, with experience overseeing academic programs or departments.Proven ability in Curriculum Development for British or international curricula, including planning, evaluation, and continuous improvement.Effective Communication skills, with the ability to engage students, staff, and families in a clear, respectful, and collaborative manner.Demonstrated Team Management skills, including leading multidisciplinary academic teams and coaching educators.Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in Education or a closely related field; formal training in British curriculum is highly desirable.Experience in school leadership or academic coordination, preferably in an international or British curriculum setting.Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making abilities, with a focus on student achievement and inclusive practices.Commitment to learner-centered education, continuous professional growth, and building a positive, family-oriented school culture.
