Academic Mentor

About the RoleThe Asian Kid is looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and academically driven Academic Mentor to join our growing team.The Academic Mentor will be responsible for monitoring teaching quality, reviewing teachers' teaching methods, supporting students, and ensuring the smooth conduct of classes. The role will act as a bridge between teachers and students while maintaining high academic and classroom standards.Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Monitoring & Teacher ReviewObserve live classes and evaluate teaching methodology, lesson delivery, student engagement, and classroom management.Provide constructive feedback about teachers to the management to improve teaching effectiveness.Ensure teachers follow academic guidelines, lesson plans, and quality standards.Identify areas where teachers may require additional support.Student Support & CoordinationAct as a bridge between teachers and students to ensure smooth communication and class delivery.Monitor student participation, attendance, engagement, and overall classroom experience.Address academic concerns and coordinate with teachers for timely resolution.Escalate recurring student or academic concerns to the Academic Head.Worksheet & Content ReviewReview worksheets, assignments, quizzes, and other learning materials prepared by teachers.Ensure content is accurate, well-structured, age-appropriate, and aligned with the curriculum.Provide feedback and suggest improvements wherever required.Reporting & CollaborationMaintain records of teacher observations, student feedback, and academic concerns.Share regular updates and reports with the Academic Head.Coordinate with teachers and the Operations team to resolve class-related issues.Participate in teacher training, review meetings, and academic planning.RequirementsEssential Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Education, Science, English, or a related field.1–2 years of experience in teaching, academic coordination, academic operations, or a similar role.Strong understanding of teaching methodologies and classroom management.Excellent spoken and written English.Strong communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.Ability to provide constructive feedback and review academic content effectively.Technical SkillsProficiency in Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Learning Management Systems.Comfortable working in an online teaching environment.Ability to manage digital class records, trackers, and academic documents.Preferred SkillsStrong observation and analytical skills.Detail-oriented and well-organized.Empathetic and approachable personality.Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.Prior experience in EdTech or online education is an advantage.Working HoursWorking hours will be scheduled according to student batches and operational requirements.CompensationCompetitive salary based on qualifications, relevant experience, and interview performance.How to ApplyInterested candidates can send their CV along with a short introduction to:Email: hr@theasiankid.com
