With more than 100 research centers, Georgia Tech drives innovation that supports government, industry, and business nationally and globally.Role Description This full-time Academic Professional Track position in Biological Sciences or Psychological and Brain Sciences is an on-site role located in Atlanta, GA. The academic professional will support instructional activities by teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses, developing course materials, and using evidence-based practices to enhance student learning. Day-to-day responsibilities may include preparing and delivering lectures, facilitating labs or discussion sections, advising or mentoring students, and providing timely feedback on assignments. The role may also involve curriculum development, participation in program assessment, and collaboration with colleagues on academic initiatives. Academic professionals are expected to contribute to service activities within the school and institute, such as committee work, outreach, or student success programs.QualificationsStrong foundation in Biological Sciences or Psychological and Brain Sciences, with the ability to teach core and specialized courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.Preferred candidates will also have a strong background in cellular/molecular or systems-level neuroscience as well as demonstrated strength in quantitative and/or computational neuroscience and interest in innovative undergraduate instruction.Demonstrated skills in curriculum design, course planning, and use of effective, inclusive teaching methods.Experience with classroom management, student mentoring or advising, and supporting a variety of learning styles in an academic setting.Ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, and students, and to contribute to program development and academic initiatives.Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present complex scientific concepts clearly.Relevant terminal degree (e.g., Ph.D. or equivalent) in Neuroscience, Biology, Psychology, or a closely related field.Commitment to fostering an inclusive, equitable, and respectful learning environment.Prior university-level teaching experience and/or experience with educational innovation or pedagogical research is highly beneficial.To apply: https://careers.hprod.onehcm.usg.edu/psp/careers/CAREERS/HRMS/c/HRS_HRAM_FL.HRS_CG_SEARCH_FL.GBL?Page=HRS_APP_JBPST_FL&Action=U&FOCUS=Applicant&SiteId=3000&JobOpeningId=304482&PostingSeq=1
