Academic Quality Officer | Higher EducationA higher education provider is seeking an Academic Quality Officer to support academic standards, quality assurance, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement across its programmes and campuses.This is a full-time, permanent opportunity based in East London (Canary Wharf) or Manchester, with a salary of £34,000–£40,000 per year.The roleThe Academic Quality Officer will work within the Academic Standards and Quality function, supporting the consistent application of academic policies and quality frameworks. The role will involve working with internal teams and awarding partners to maintain high standards of academic quality, integrity and compliance while contributing to initiatives that improve the student experience.Key responsibilitiesSupport the consistent implementation of academic quality policies and procedures.Produce high-quality reports for internal stakeholders, awarding partners and external organisations.Support academic audits, assessment processes and student casework procedures.Analyse qualitative and quantitative data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and quality enhancement projects.Provide administrative and governance support to academic boards and committees, including preparing agendas, minutes and reports.Support preparations relating to regulatory requirements and degree-awarding powers.Work collaboratively with academic and professional services teams to maintain consistent quality standards.Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of quality assurance systems and processes.What’s requiredStrong professional writing and report-writing skills.Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and communicate findings clearly.Exceptional organisation and attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.A collaborative and proactive approach to problem-solving.Experience within higher education, academic quality, quality assurance, compliance or a related environment would be advantageous.Willingness to travel between campuses when required.What’s on offer£34,000–£40,000 annual salary25 days annual leave plus 8 public holidaysAdditional annual leave based on length of serviceDiscretionary annual performance bonusWorkplace pensionTuition reimbursement for eligible career development coursesFlexible benefits including Cycle to Work, Workplace Nursery and technology schemesEmployee discounts and wellbeing benefitsRecognition and reward programmesLocation: East London (Canary Wharf) or Manchester Contract: Permanent Working pattern: Full-time, 40 hours per week Sponsorship: Not available for this position
