The successful candidate will oversee academic programs, support and supervise teaching staff, monitor curriculum implementation, and contribute to continuous school improvement.The Academic Supervisor will work closely with school leadership and faculty to ensure effective instructional practices, strong student outcomes, consistent academic standards, and alignment with the school’s educational vision.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the effective implementation of the school’s curriculum and academic programs.Monitor teaching and learning standards through regular classroom observations, lesson reviews, and academic follow-up.Support teachers with lesson planning, instructional strategies, classroom management, and effective assessment practices.Provide constructive feedback, coaching, and professional guidance to teaching staff.Supervise and coordinate academic staff, ensuring accountability, collaboration, and professional performance.Monitor teacher performance and contribute to staff evaluations and professional development plans.Coordinate assessments, examinations, academic schedules, and student progress monitoring.Analyze student performance and assessment data to identify learning gaps and areas requiring intervention.Work with teachers to develop and implement appropriate academic intervention and improvement plans.Maintain accurate academic records, reports, and documentation.Organize and facilitate professional development, training, and academic workshops for teaching staff.Collaborate with school leadership in developing and implementing academic policies and improvement initiatives.Ensure academic programs and practices align with relevant accreditation, curriculum, and regulatory requirements.Support the development and continuous review of academic standards, policies, and procedures.Communicate effectively with students and families regarding academic progress and learning-related matters when required.Promote a positive, inclusive, student-centered learning environment.Encourage collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous professional development among staff.Contribute to school-wide strategic planning and academic improvement initiatives.Undertake other academic and supervisory responsibilities assigned by school leadership.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant field is required.Master’s degree or relevant postgraduate qualification in Education, Educational Leadership, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field is an advantage.Proven experience in academic coordination, academic supervision, curriculum leadership, or a similar educational leadership role.Previous experience supervising and managing teaching staff is required.Strong experience in curriculum development, instructional planning, and academic program management.Demonstrated experience in classroom observation, teacher supervision, coaching, and performance evaluation.Strong knowledge of assessment design, student progress monitoring, academic data analysis, and intervention planning.Experience working within an international, bilingual, or multicultural school environment is highly desirable.Familiarity with international curricula and educational standards such as Cambridge / IGCSE, College Board / SAT, Pearson Edexcel, Oxford, or similar programs is an advantage.Previous professional experience in the Middle East, with KSA experience mandatory.Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate academic documentation.Strong ability to build effective working relationships with teachers, students, parents, and school leadership.Demonstrated commitment to student-centered learning, inclusive education, academic excellence, and continuous school improvement.Excellent proficiency in English, both written and spoken.Arabic language proficiency is an advantage.Strong professional integrity, accountability, initiative, and the ability to work effectively as part of a leadership team.Preferred Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate is a confident and hands-on academic leader who can effectively supervise staff, strengthen teaching practices, use academic data to drive improvement, and work collaboratively with teachers and school leadership.Candidates who have demonstrated experience in international or bilingual schools in Saudi Arabia or the wider Middle East will be strongly preferred.
