With a long-standing track record and a strong focus on client service, the company offers an excellent environment for someone looking to develop their career within the property sector.The OpportunityAn opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to join the finance team and support the day-to-day financial operations of the business.This is a varied role with a particular focus on credit control, accounts receivable and general accounting, offering the opportunity to develop your technical skills and gain valuable experience within the property and real estate sector.You will work closely with the wider finance and property teams, ensuring financial information is accurate, payments are collected efficiently and financial processes are delivered to a high standard.Key ResponsibilitiesManaging day-to-day credit control activities and following up outstanding balancesMonitoring aged debt and ensuring outstanding invoices are actively pursuedMaintaining regular contact with clients and tenants regarding overdue paymentsAllocating incoming payments and maintaining accurate debtor recordsProcessing purchase and sales invoicesAssisting with accounts payable and accounts receivableCarrying out bank and account reconciliationsProcessing payments and receiptsSupporting month-end processes and management reportingMaintaining accurate financial records and accounting informationAssisting with property-related accounting and administrationResponding to finance-related queries from internal and external stakeholdersSupporting the wider finance team with ad hoc accounting and administrative tasksAbout YouThe successful candidate will have 1–2 years' experience in an accounts or finance role and be looking to develop their career within an established property business.You will ideally have:1–2 years' experience in an accounts, finance or credit control positionPrevious experience of credit control and managing outstanding paymentsGood understanding of basic accounting principlesStrong numerical skills and excellent attention to detailGood working knowledge of ExcelStrong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing prioritiesExcellent communication skills and a professional mannerA proactive and commercially minded approachThe ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamA genuine interest in developing a career within property and real estateThis is an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Assistant with 1–2 years' experience to join an established property business and develop their career within both finance and real estate.The role offers a broad range of responsibilities, with significant exposure to credit control and property-related accounting, as well as the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as your experience develops.
