This role involves processing vendor invoices, assisting with expense and income report verification, and supporting the preparation and posting of journal entries in the accounting system. The intern will help reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable balances, track payment status, and maintain accurate documentation and records. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with internal teams and vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies, supporting month-end closing activities, and ensuring compliance with internal financial controls. The intern will also assist the finance team with ad hoc analysis and reporting related to payables and cash flow and prepare a profit & loss statement.QualificationsCandidates should possess foundational skills in Finance and Accounting to support accounts payable processes and reporting.Candidates should possess skills in Expense Reports and Journal Entries (Accounting) to handle invoice processing and general ledger updates.Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to review data, identify discrepancies, and support reconciliations.Basic knowledge of MS Excel or similar spreadsheet tools for data entry, tracking, and analysis.Recently completed a degree or diploma in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.Attention to detail, accuracy in work, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Clear, professional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and external stakeholders.
