Accountant (Aircraft Accounting Experience)URGENTJob Summary :We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with a background in aircraft accounting to manage financial transactions related to aviation operations. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, experience handling aircraft-related costs and assets, and proficiency in financial reporting and compliance.Key Responsibilities :• Maintain accurate accounting records for aircraft operations and related expenses.• Record and reconcile aircraft operating costs, including fuel, maintenance, landing fees, hangar charges, insurance, and crew expenses.• Monitor aircraft fixed assets, depreciation, and capital expenditures.• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.• Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements, and general ledger accounts.• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable related to aviation operations.• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis for aircraft operations.• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.• Coordinate with maintenance, operations, and procurement departments regarding aircraft-related expenditures.• Support internal and external audits by providing required financial documentation.Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.• Minimum of 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the aviation or aircraft industry.• Experience accounting for aircraft operations, maintenance, leasing, or charter services is highly preferred.• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.• Professional accounting certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent) is an advantage.Preferred Experience• Aircraft charter or private aviation accounting.• Aircraft maintenance accounting.• Aircraft asset management and depreciation.• Aviation ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).• Knowledge of aviation regulations affecting financial reporting.• Able to join immediatelyAbility to commute/relocate:• Abu Dhabi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Application Question(s):• Aviation/Aircraft Industry Experience is a must.Experience :• the same: 3 years (Required)Work Location: In personIf you met the above requirements, please share your updated CV to this email: a.hesham@alas-emirates.ae
