We are now seeking an Accountant to join our team at our offices and production plant in Alexandria, Egypt. Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role based at our Alexandria offices and plant, covering day-to-day accounting, statutory compliance, and financial reporting for our Egyptian entity. The successful candidate will:Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate, timely recording of all transactions.Handle accounts payable and receivable, including supplier payments, customer invoicing, and collections follow-up.Prepare and file VAT returns, withholding tax, and other statutory submissions in line with Egyptian Tax Authority requirements.Maintain inventory and cost accounting for the plant—raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods—and participate in periodic physical stock counts.Control landed costs on imported goods (customs duties, freight, clearance) and reconcile against logistics and warehouse records.Perform monthly bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations, including foreign-currency accounts.Support month-end and year-end closing, and prepare management reports and financial statements.Manage payroll inputs, social insurance, and employee expense claims.Work closely with plant, warehouse, and logistics colleagues to ensure transactions are captured correctly at source.Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and banks.Monitor cash flow and assist management with budgeting and forecasting.Qualifications🎓 Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce. 💼 3–7+ years of hands-on accounting experience; manufacturing or chemical/industrial sector strongly preferred. 🏭 Practical understanding of inventory, cost accounting, and stock control in a plant environment. 📝 Solid working knowledge of Egyptian tax law, VAT, and e-invoicing requirements. 🌍 Experience with import/export transactions, letters of credit, and multi-currency accounting is a strong plus. 📊 Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail and accuracy. 💻 Advanced Excel; experience with ERP or accounting software (SAP, Odoo, Oracle, or similar). 💬 Good English & Arabic communication skills; required. 🤝 Integrity, discretion, and the ability to work independently in a lean team. ⭐ CMA / CPA / ACCA (or in progress) is an advantage.What We Offer💰 Competitive salary with growth-based increments. 👥 Medical insurance and benefits package. 🚀 Opportunity to work with a rapidly expanding international organization. 🌍 Exposure to international trade, multi-currency, and cross-border finance operations. 📈 A career path with long-term development and leadership potential.📍 Location: Alexandria, Egypt (on-site — offices and plant) 💡 Job Type: Full-time
