Staff Accountant / Client Accounting ServicesLocation: Jamison, PA — Primarily Onsite with Remote FlexibilityCompensation: $65,000–$85,000, based on experienceA growing accounting and bookkeeping services firm is seeking a Staff Accountant / Client Accounting Services professional to join its team of 13. Due to continued growth in its client base, the firm is looking to add another accounting professional who can manage day-to-day accounting responsibilities across multiple client engagements.This is an opportunity to join a close-knit team where you'll work directly with clients across a variety of industries and have exposure to different accounting environments. The firm is open to candidates across a range of experience levels, from earlier-career accountants through more seasoned professionals.The OpportunityYou'll be responsible for managing accounting activities for multiple client engagements, serving as a trusted accounting resource and helping clients maintain accurate, timely financial information.Responsibilities include:Manage day-to-day accounting activities for multiple clientsOversee accounts payable and accounts receivableMaintain and update general ledgersPerform bank and account reconciliationsPrepare adjusting journal entriesPrepare and distribute monthly financial statementsAnalyze financial statements, including budget vs. actuals, prior-year comparisons and business trendsPrepare cash flow forecastsAssist with 1099 preparationSupport clients during audits and provide requested documentationAssist with special projects and other accounting needs as they ariseCommunicate directly with clients regarding accounting questions, financial information and ongoing needsHelp identify opportunities to improve clients' accounting processes and financial reportingWhat We're Looking ForThe company is open to a range of experience levels. The most important qualities are a solid accounting foundation, attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple client engagements.Ideal candidates will have:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field preferredExperience in bookkeeping, staff accounting, public accounting, outsourced accounting or a similar environmentStrong understanding of general accounting principlesExperience with reconciliations, journal entries and financial statement preparationAbility to analyze financial statements and identify trends or variancesStrong organizational and time-management skillsExcellent attention to detailAbility to work independently while also collaborating with a small teamComfortable communicating directly with business owners and client contactsExperience working with multiple clients or entities is a plusWork EnvironmentThis is primarily an in-office role in Jamison, PA, particularly during the initial onboarding period.
