Accountant- Cloud Kitchen

Job Purpose We are seeking an experienced Accountant to lead financial management and cost oversight for our cloud kitchen operations. This role ensures financial accuracy, compliance with local and international standards, and cost efficiency across all kitchen units. The position emphasizes financial reporting, inventory reconciliation, recipe costing, and operational cost analysis to safeguard profitability and support strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Financial Management

• Oversee all accounting activities in line with IFRS and local regulations.
• Perform monthly and annual closings; prepare accurate financial statements, P&L, and balance sheets.
• Review and reconcile AP/AR, payroll-related accounts, tax obligations, and intercompany transactions.
• Ensure accuracy of bank reconciliations, treasury positions, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and submit VAT and other statutory filings on time.
• Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies for compliance and reporting. Cost & Inventory Oversight
• Monitor and analyze food, beverage, and packaging costs; perform variance analysis against recipes and budgets.
• Oversee recipe costing updates, ensuring ingredient price changes are reflected in menu pricing.
• Reconcile inventory variances between physical counts, perpetual systems, and the general ledger.
• Collaborate with procurement to ensure cost-effective sourcing without compromising quality.
• Analyze consumption and wastage trends, recommending measures to optimize margins. Operational & Strategic Support
• Provide management with actionable insights through detailed financial and cost reports.
• Support management in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Recommend improvements to financial systems, internal controls, and reporting practices. Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA/ACCA preferred).
• 6+ years in financial & management accounting in UAE, with at least 5 years in F&B or hospitality (cloud kitchen experience strongly preferred).
• Proven expertise in Xero and SUPY – Restaurant Inventory Software (mandatory).
• Strong background in recipe costing, pricing strategies, and variance analysis.
• Advanced MS Excel and financial data analysis skills. Key Competencies
