Accountant

Salary: R35 000,00 to R45 000,00 CTC per monthLocation: Sandton, Johannesburg (Full-time, In Office)Job title: AccountantOverview:A well-established software company is looking for an experienced Accountant to join their finance team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership of the full accounting function, with a strong focus on financial reporting, tax compliance, and maintaining accurate financial records.Duties and Responsibilities:Manage the day-to-day accounting function using Sage Accounting.Prepare monthly management accounts and assist with month-end and year-end reporting.Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations.Manage VAT, PAYE and other statutory submissions through SARS eFiling.Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and the fixed asset register.Liaise with SARS, auditors and external service providers.Ensure compliance with South African accounting standards and tax legislation.Support continuous improvement of finance processes and controls.Requirements:Diploma or Degree in Accounting or Finance.3-5 years' accounting experience.Strong working knowledge of Sage Accounting.Experience with SARS eFiling and tax submissions.Solid understanding of VAT, PAYE and Corporate Income Tax.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Strong in AfrikaansStrong attention to detail with the ability to work independently.Please note: Due to the high volume of applications, only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
