The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance, and preparation of financial statements and reports. Responsibilities include processing accounts payable and receivable, managing expense records, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities. The role also involves reconciling bank and account balances, supporting audits, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies, and providing accurate financial data to support decision-making. The Accountant will collaborate with cross-functional teams and management to maintain transparent, efficient financial processes.QualificationsStrong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management.Experience handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, as well as MS Excel and other financial analysis tools.Familiarity with UAE financial regulations, tax requirements, and compliance standards.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) are an advantage.Previous accounting or finance experience in technology, innovation hubs, or multinational environments is beneficial.ResponsibilitiesOversee the duties of the accounting team. Implement accounting systems and processes. Reconcile income statements. Prepare monthly financial reports. Control the master data of the general register. Review and release online banking payments. Ensure compliance with state revenue service. Provide ongoing accounting and reporting support. Manage the full financial process. Prepare an expense budget report. Prepare tax returns, payments, necessary paperwork, and reports. Assess and research difficult tax issues to identify solutions. Manage and maintain the company’s tax database. Determine tax savings and recommend strategies to improve profits. Ensure you comply with regulations by forwarding required information to federal, state, and local authorities. Offer support and guidance during audits. Evaluate tax regulations and suggest policies that diminish tax burden. Keep track of industry trends and changes related to taxes. Prepare accurate quarterly and annual tax reports. RequirementsBachelor's degree in accounting. Honor's degree preferred. Completion of Articles. 5 years post article experience. Registration with accredited statutory body and association. Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Fully compliant as a tax practitioner. Filing of corporate tax returns. Experience in providing financial advice.
