Apply & track with Apply EdgePosition OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring compliance with UAE accounting standards and tax regulations, and supporting the company’s financial planning and reporting functions.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and accounts in compliance with IFRS and UAE regulations.Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, including reconciliations of bank statements and general ledger accounts.Assist in preparing financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and management reports.Monitor and analyze financial transactions, identifying discrepancies and ensuring corrective actions.Handle VAT filings, ensure compliance with UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) requirements, and maintain proper documentation.Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary schedules and reports.Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper financial controls and reporting accuracy.Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making by management.Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA preferred).Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the UAE or GCC region.Strong knowledge of IFRS, VAT laws, and local compliance requirements.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle) and MS Excel.Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.High level of accuracy and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary based on qualifications and experience.UAE labor law benefits (annual leave, medical insurance, end-of-service gratuity).Career growth opportunities within the organization.
