Apply & track with Apply EdgeJob Overview:The Accountant is tasked with maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The role plays a pivotal role in financial management by analyzing data, reconciling accounts, and providing insights for decision-making.Responsibilities and Duties:-Maintaining the intercompany reconciliation record.-Maintaining related party balances and preparing related party schedules, confirmations and resolving related party differences-Maintaining the financial records including recording transactions, tracking expenses, and ensuring all financial data is up-to-date and properly authorized.-Processing vendor invoices, and other transactions, after ensuring accuracy and adequate authorization.-Preparation of basic financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.-Record financial transactions and maintain precise records.-Prepare financial statements, such as balance sheets and income statements.-Reconcile bank statements and other accounts for accuracy.-Analyze financial data to offer insights to management.-Responsible in initiating payments to the vendors supported by adequate payments-Responsible of maintaining petty cash fund and ensuring adequate approvals and documentation for each utilization of fund.-Responsible for end-to-end maintenance of books of entities, and preparation of trial balance and financial statements under strict closing deadlines.-Ensuring compliance to VAT requirements and its filing including payments.-High level of proficiency over SAP.-Manage books of multiple entities.-Reconciling intercompany balances and coordinating with subsidiaries for identifying nature of intercompany balance and ensure its elimination.-Facilitate Parent company queries relating to intercompany transactions.-Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.-Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and tax laws.-Collaborate with teams and auditors during financial audits.-Contribute to process improvement initiatives.-The responsibilities do not represent an exhaustive list of the job duties.Qualifications:Education:-Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.-Preferred certification as a CPA (Certified Public Accountant).Experience-Min 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance preferably in the UAE.Specific Skills-Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.-Strong grasp of accounting principles and regulations.-Financial Reporting: Ability to produce accurate financial reports.-Account Reconciliation: Skill in reconciling accounts and identifying discrepancies.-Financial Analysis: Proficiency in analyzing data to provide insights.-Budgeting and Forecasting: Capability to assist with financial planning.-Audit Compliance: Knowledge of regulations to ensure audit compliance.Personal Characteristics-Attention to Detail: Demonstrates meticulous attention to financial records.-Analytical Thinking: Possesses strong analytical skills for data interpretation.-Adaptability: Able to adapt to changing priorities.-Integrity: Upholds high ethical standards in handling financial information.-Team Player: Collaborates effectively with teams and stakeholders.-Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Certifications:CPA (Certified Public Accountant): Preferred certification indicating accounting expertise.CMA (Certified Management Accountant): Optional certification focusing on financial management.
