Apply & track with Apply EdgeEmirates Power Operation & Maintenance (EMPOWER Saudi O&M LLC) is looking for an experienced Accountant to join our growing team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.The ideal candidate will have strong experience in project accounting, cost control, billing, collections, accounts payable, VAT compliance, financial reporting, and cash-flow management, preferably within contracting, construction, engineering, power, oil & gas, or industrial maintenance environments.Key ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records.Maintain General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and bank reconciliations.Work closely with Project Managers to prepare project budgets, monitor actual costs, and analyze cost variances.Prepare client invoices and progress billing and follow up on receivables and collections.Process supplier invoices, verify purchase orders, manage subcontractor payments, and monitor retention releases.Support month-end and year-end closing activities.Prepare WIP schedules, financial reports, and management reports.Assist with cash-flow forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning.Process monthly payroll and reconcile payroll accounts.Review employee expenses and ensure proper accounting treatment.Prepare VAT returns and support compliance with applicable Saudi tax and financial regulations.Coordinate with Procurement, Projects, HR, and Operations teams on financial matters.Support internal and external audits and maintain proper financial documentation.Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and strengthen financial controls.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.2–5 years of relevant accounting experience.Experience in contracting, construction, engineering, power plants, oil & gas, or industrial maintenance is highly desirable.Strong understanding of project-based accounting, job costing, project budgeting, cost control, and Percentage-of-Completion (POC) revenue recognition.Experience in AP, AR, General Ledger, financial reporting, billing, collections, and bank reconciliation.Experience with Zoho Books or similar accounting/ERP software is preferred.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Good knowledge of Saudi VAT and applicable financial regulations.CPA, ACCA, CMA, SOCPA, or equivalent certification is an advantage.Strong analytical, numerical, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to work effectively with project, procurement, operations, and management teams.Candidates must have valid authorization to work in Saudi Arabia and, where applicable, a transferable Iqama.
