The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations. The role involves preparing financial statements, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations. The Accountant will support internal and external audits, monitor cash flow, and help maintain accurate financial records for global trading activities. Collaboration with procurement, logistics, and management teams is essential to provide timely financial reports and analysis that support business decisions.QualificationsStrong accounting and bookkeeping skills, including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, with the ability to analyse data and prepare clear financial summaries.Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, as well as solid skills in Excel and other office productivity tools.Knowledge of relevant accounting standards, local tax regulations, and compliance requirements in the UAE and international trade environments.Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications are an advantage.Prior experience in trading, distribution, or manufacturing industries, particularly in polymers or related sectors, is beneficial.
