Finance plays a central role in supporting operational performance, managing risk, and enabling informed decision-making across the organisation.About the RoleWe are looking for a hands-on Accountant to join our finance team, working closely with the Head of Finance and collaborating with operational stakeholders. This is a broad, commercially focused role that combines core accounting responsibilities with business partnering, financial analysis, and process improvement.You will gain direct exposure to decision-making across billing, procurement, inventory, and cash flow, making a tangible impact on business performance.Key ResponsibilitiesYou will take ownership of:Transactional finance oversight, including billing cycles, accounts receivable and accounts payable integrity, and general ledger managementFinancial reporting, including month-end close, profit and loss statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and consolidated reportingCash flow management, including forecasting, monitoring, and working capital improvementMerchant facilities reconciliation, covering credit card, EFTPOS, and online payment gatewaysInventory, cost accounting, and revenue recognition processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment to business operationsYou will also support broader business performance through:Preparation of management reporting packs, including financial commentary and analysisContribution to budgeting and rolling forecastsDelivery of commercial insights, including margin analysis, pricing reviews, and project or product profitabilityContinual development of KPI dashboards, including metrics such as DSO, DPO, billing accuracy, and cost ratiosPartnering with operations, sales, and procurement teams to support informed decision-makingMaintain and strengthen internal controls across AR, AP, and financial reporting processesIdentify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and data accuracySupport compliance with accounting standards and internal policiesAbout YouWe are looking for a well-rounded accounting professional who brings both technical capability and a proactive approach to problem solving.
