Role DescriptionThe Accountant takes over the full finance and statutory administration function from our retiring Senior Accountant, reporting directly to the CEO with full ownership of the function. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Kuala Lumpur / Selangor, with work-from-home flexibility.ResponsibilitiesMaintain the full set of accounts, including AR/AP, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and monthly closingManage billing and collections for customers and vendor accountsRun monthly payroll and statutory paymentsPrepare year-end accounts and liaise with the external auditor and tax agentHandle statutory and administrative matters specific to a bus operator, including vehicle permits and registrations, road tax, insurance renewals, and business licencesSupport audits and drive process improvements to strengthen financial controlsQualificationsDegree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field3+ years of full-set accounting experience with the ability to work independentlyProfessional qualification such as ACCA, MICPA, or CPA, or currently progressing toward one, is an advantageProficient in accounting softwareMeticulous, organised, and able to handle confidential information with discretionGood written communication skills in English and Bahasa MelayuWhat You'll GetCompetitive salary, shared with shortlisted candidatesHybrid work arrangementFull ownership of the finance function, with opportunities to grow across both the bus operator and technology company
