Accountant

Company: Cranbridge Education Group, operators of Cranbridge International School, KL.Job Description: The Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in WP. Kuala Lumpur. 9am - 4pm Monday to Friday, Free lunch provided.Role Responsibilities:- Managing day-to-day financial operations, including maintaining accurate accounting records, preparing monthly and annual financial statements, and handling accounts payable and receivable. - Preparing, issuing and tracking invoices.- Oversee budgeting and forecasting activities, monitor cash flow, and ensure timely reconciliation of bank and ledger accounts.- Preparing financial reports for management,and full set of accounts ready for audit, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations, and collaborating with school leadership on financial planning and cost control.Qualifications:Candidates should possess strong financial accounting and reporting skills, including experience with general ledger management and preparation of financial statements.Candidates should possess skills in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support planning and decision-making.Candidates should possess proficiency in SQL software and spreadsheets, with solid data entry accuracy and attention to detail.Candidates should possess knowledge of local tax regulations, compliance requirements, and basic audit processes.Candidate should be familiar with E-invoicing.Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders.Candidates should possess strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.Relevant professional qualification or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred; professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) are an advantage.Preferably 3years+ experience as an accountant.
