Style PLUS is expanding into a new building, with plans to add popular food and beverage outlets and dedicated kids’ play areas, offering new growth opportunities for team members.Role Description The Accountant role at Style PLUS is a full-time, on-site position based in Thiruvananthapuram Taluk. The Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling bank statements. Responsibilities include preparing invoices, monitoring accounts payable and receivable, assisting with payroll entries, and ensuring timely payments to vendors and partners. The role involves preparing financial reports, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls. The Accountant will collaborate with management and store operations teams to provide accurate financial data, support audits, and contribute to efficient financial planning for the expanding retail business.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, journal entry posting, bank reconciliation, and accounts payable/receivable handling.Candidates should possess skills in financial reporting and analysis, including preparation of balance sheets, income statements, cash flow reports, and variance analysis.Candidates should possess proficiency in accounting software and tools, such as Tally or other ERP systems, along with solid MS Excel skills for data management and financial modeling.Candidates should possess knowledge of Indian taxation, GST, and regulatory compliance requirements relevant to retail and lifestyle businesses.Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organizational skills to manage high transaction volumes in a multi-brand retail environment.Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with store operations, procurement, and management teams, and to support internal and external audits.Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (such as CA Inter, CMA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
