قدّم وتابع مع أبلاي إيدجWE’RE HIRING | ACCOUNTANT – DUBAIAbout Versatile InternationalVersatile International is the Middle East’s first fully integrated Stone Project Management Consultancy, with operations across the UAE and Saudi Arabia.Since 2020, we have established ourselves as a trusted specialist in natural stone project delivery, contributing to some of the Middle East’s most prestigious developments.Our continued growth has created an opportunity for an experienced Accountant to join our Dubai-based finance team.About the RoleThis is a broad and hands-on accounting position, responsible for supporting the full general accounting function and ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting and strong financial controls.The role will work across general ledger, month-end close, financial reporting, project accounting, reconciliations, cash flow, tax and compliance, audit support, budgeting, forecasting and finance process improvement.You will work closely with internal stakeholders across the business, providing reliable financial information and analysis to support effective decision-making and project performance.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure transactions are accurately recordedPrepare and review journals, accruals, prepayments, payroll journals, depreciation and month-end adjustmentsComplete month-end and year-end close activities within required deadlinesPrepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, including bank, intercompany, accruals, prepayments, receivables, payables and fixed assetsPrepare financial statements, management reports, variance analysis and financial commentarySupport budgeting, forecasting and cash flow managementSupport project accounting across the project lifecycle, including revenue, costs, WIP, accrued revenue and deferred revenueAssist with the application of AASB 15 revenue recognition principles for multi-phase projectsReconcile project revenue and costs and support project financial reportingWork closely with AP and AR teams to ensure accurate coding, processing and period allocationSupport working capital management, including debtor and creditor reconciliations and ageing analysisAssist with tax, statutory, regulatory and audit requirementsSupport banking, treasury and short-term cash flow forecasting activitiesContribute to finance system improvements, automation and process optimisationMaintain appropriate documentation, controls and audit trailsProvide guidance, support and knowledge sharing to junior finance team membersAbout YouWe’re looking for an Accountant who brings:Strong general accounting experience across GL, reconciliations, month-end close and financial reportingSound knowledge of accounting standards, internal controls and complianceExperience with project accounting and revenue recognition is highly desirableStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detailAdvanced Excel skills and confidence working with finance systemsThe ability to investigate variances and resolve complex reconciliationsStrong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing prioritiesExcellent communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders across the businessProfessional judgement, confidentiality and a high level of integrityA proactive, hands-on approach with a genuine interest in continuous improvementThe OpportunityThis is an opportunity to join a growing specialist consultancy working on some of the Middle East’s most prestigious natural stone projects.You’ll play an important role within the finance function, with exposure across accounting, project finance, reporting, compliance and business performance.Apply now or contact us for more information.
