ACCOUNTANTLocation: SyriaEmployment Type: Full TimeIndustry: Automotive / Vehicle Trading and ServicesJOB SUMMARYWe are looking for a qualified and detail-oriented Accountant to support the company’s daily accounting and financial operations.The position will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, recording financial transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank and cash accounts, monitoring customer and supplier balances, supporting inventory accounting, and preparing financial reports.Experience in an automotive company, vehicle trading business, spare parts trading, dealership, or trading company will be highly preferred.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES• Record and maintain accurate daily accounting transactions.• Prepare and post journal entries, payment vouchers, receipt vouchers, and other accounting documents.• Maintain the general ledger and supporting accounting records.• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.• Prepare and monitor supplier and customer statements.• Follow up on outstanding receivables and payables.• Perform regular bank, cash, customer, and supplier reconciliations.• Verify invoices, purchase documents, sales documents, payment documents, and supporting records.• Ensure all accounting transactions have appropriate supporting documentation.• Coordinate with procurement, sales, logistics, warehouse, and management teams regarding financial transactions.• Monitor vehicle and spare parts purchases and sales from an accounting perspective.• Support inventory accounting and reconciliation between physical inventory and accounting records.• Record and reconcile inventory movements, purchases, sales, returns, and adjustments.• Monitor cash transactions and maintain accurate cash records.• Prepare daily and monthly cash reports.• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.• Prepare monthly accounting reports and financial schedules.• Assist in preparing management reports related to sales, purchases, receivables, payables, cash flow, and inventory.• Monitor customer credit balances and payment collections.• Review supplier balances and payment schedules.• Support payroll accounting and other finance-related activities when required.• Assist with tax, statutory, audit, and regulatory requirements.• Maintain organized and confidential financial records.• Identify accounting discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions.• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.• 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience.• Experience in automotive, vehicle trading, spare parts, dealership, or trading companies is highly preferred.• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, cash, and bank reconciliation.• Experience with inventory accounting is preferred.• Practical experience handling purchase invoices, sales invoices, receipts, payments, and journal entries.• Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.• Experience using ERP or accounting software.• Strong MS Excel skills.• High attention to accuracy and detail.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Good organizational and time management skills.• Ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines.• Good Arabic communication skills.• English language proficiency is preferred.PREFERRED EXPERIENCECandidates with experience in any of the following environments will be strongly considered:• Automotive dealerships• Vehicle trading companies• Automotive spare parts companies• Car service and maintenance companies• Automotive import and distribution• Trading and distribution companies• Companies managing vehicle inventory and sales
